What should I do if I damage my rental car?
We advise you to contact the rental location where you rented the car. Our employees will handle this.
Is a minimum age or several years of driving experience required?
The minimum age to rent a car with us is 18, provided you have a driver’s license. A number of years of driving experience is not required.
Are the rental cars ad-free?
Yes, our passenger cars are discreet and not provided with advertisements. Our company cars are on request.
Which IDs are accepted?
When collecting the car, double identification must always be presented by the renter of the car (driver’s license in combination with passport or ID card) and a copy of your bank statement (max. 30 days old) or an extract from the personal register for verification of the residential address. For new renters we can require additional securities (e.g. a credit card, extra deposit and / or copy of a recent payslip). In addition, Munsterhuis Autoverhuur must have a copy of the driver’s license of all drivers in advance. If an accident is caused by a person other than the drivers registered with Munsterhuis Autoverhuur, the full damage amount will be charged to the renter.

At what time can I collect the car I rented?
This is possible starting from 8:00 a.m.. In consultation with our employees, it is possible to collect the car earlier in the morning.
Which time schedules (part of the day, day, etc.) are used?
Partial day: – from 08:00 to 12:30 (morning) – from 13.00 to 17:00 (noon) – from 17.30 to 08:00 (evening/night) One day: – starts at 8:00 a.m. or 5:00 p.m. and lasts for 24 hours. A weekend: – from Friday afternoon 5:00 p.m. to Monday morning 8:00 a.m. A week – for 7 days. Short lease: Do you want to have a business car available for a longer period of time? You can use our short lease service. This service provides you with a rental car for at least 30 days.

Payment & deposit
How much deposit must be paid?
You must pay the deposit (€ 250) + the rent in advance. You can pay this amount by debit card (pin) and in Enschede you can also pay by credit card. For new renters we can require additional securities (e.g. a credit card, extra deposit and / or copy of recent payslip).
After how many days will the deposit be refunded?
The deposit you paid will be refunded to your account within 5 business days.
What are the costs of extra kilometers?
This is different for every model. The additional cost per kilometer can be found on the detail page of the
model you have chosen.
Are there additional costs for insurance and such?
There are no additional costs for insurance. All our rental cars are fully insured and you can see the rates below for the deductible. You do not have to pay anything for the passenger insurance. If you have plans to go abroad with a rental car from Munsterhuis Car Rental, you must indicate this to our employees.
How much is the deductible and can I reduce it?
Passenger Cars: – The standard deductible is € 500 – Want to reduce the deductible to € 250? This costs € 10 per day with a maximum of € 100 per month – Overhead damage costs € 1250. This is damage above 1.90 meters – For damage involving reckless driving, drinking or drug use, a liability applies for the total amount of damage. Deductible cannot be bought off completely. Light commercial vehicles (Renault Kangoo/Dacia Dokker & Renault Trafic) – The standard deductible is € 750 – Want to reduce the deductible to € 375? This costs € 10 (VAT incl.) per day with a maximum of € 100 (VAT incl.) per month – Overhead damage costs € 1250 – For damage involving reckless driving, drinking or drug use, a liability applies for the total amount of damage. Medium and large commercial vehicles and 9-seater cars (Renault Master, Renault Trafic Passenger & Renault Closed box, Double cabin) – The standard deductible is € 750.00 – Want to reduce the deductible to € 375? This costs € 10 (VAT incl) per day with a maximum of € 150 (VAT incl.) per month – Overhead damage costs € 1250 – For damage involving reckless driving, drinking or drug use, a liability applies for the total amount of damage.
Are there any discounts for students?
When showing a valid student card, students receive a 10% discount on the total rent. This is not possible in combination with promotional rates.

Do you have cars with a tow bar?
We cannot guarantee this. You can ask our employees whether the car you have rented is equipped with a tow bar.
Do your cars have winter tires?
All of our rental cars have all-season tires.

When can short lease be used?
Business and private customers who temporarily need a car and do not want to be bound by a lease contract can use short lease. An employee of your company drives a representative and almost new car for a favorable rate.
What amounts must be paid in advance?
The rental price including 21% VAT must be deposit of € 250.00 to be paid by pin or credit card when the car is picked up. Cash payments are not accepted. The extra kilometers driven will be deducted from the deposit afterwards.
Can a car be extended at any time?
Renewal of a vehicle is only possible after approval of a Munsterhuis Car Rental employee . You can contact them by phone to discuss the possibility of an extension. If no agreement is granted or no extension is requested, the car must be returned no later than the last day of the month on which the rental agreement ends.
Is an increase or decrease in mileage possible?
By default, 3,000 free kilometers per month are calculated to determine the prices. Any extra kilometers will be deducted from the deposit after returning the car. If the deposit amount is not sufficient, you will receive a final invoice which must be paid within 14 days of the invoice date. If you think you will drive more or less kilometers in advance, you can ask the employees of Munsterhuis Car Rental for a tailor-made offer.
Can you drive to any country with the rental car?
If you have plans to go abroad with a rental car from Munsterhuis Car Rental, you must indicate this to our employees.
Who is responsible for maintenance of the rental car?
The driver of the rental car is responsible for periodic maintenance of the rental car. In the instruction booklet you can check which maintenance interval should be used for the rental car. The rental car must in all cases be taken to an authorized Renault dealer for maintenance. Munsterhuis Car Rental must grant permission for maintenance prior to the work. If you have questions about maintenance or other matters, you can always contact Munsterhuis Car Rental. The driver of the car must immediately take action when the on-board computer of the car requests this.
